video

Well well well... I have done it, shot my very first video and let me tell you, I have a LOT to learn. I blame all camera shake on a loose screw in the tripod, and then the fact that the camera is too small to stead on my shoulder while I walked around.

I had done a voice over at the start of the movie, but apparently forgot to plug the mic in, so my boss Irv had to re-do it for me while I was on days off.

I have yet to view it because for whatever reason my computer doesn't seem to want to properly load the clip. I haven't figured out why, but I'm not that worried, as I don't ever watch quick time videos to begin with :)

Here's the link, my video is the seminar discussing web safety.

Weekend to end Breast Cancer

Princess Margaret Hospital's Weekend the End Breast Cancer is an enormous fundraiser, with each participant raising a minimum of 2 thousand dollars each. The 60 km walk is spread out over 2 days, leaving from the exhibition place walking north towards Downsview park for evening events and to find their tents for the night, then back down to the ex the following morning. Walkers could register in teams, and team costumes were encouraged. Many people living en-route were outside their homes to cheer the walkers on throughout the day, which was much appreciated and much needed after a significant amount of milage.

Cultural Festivities

This weekend was one of festivals... in the rain!

Performers representing Mexico brightened a rainy Sunday afternoon with beautiful colours floating across the stage. The Hispanic festival featured many dancers from various Hispanic countries over the long weekend at Mel Lastman Square.
