Rogers Cup

Richard Gasquet, a sudden surprise for the final game knocking Nadal out of the match earlier on in the week.
(he was always doing something weird with his left hand, didn't make for pretty pictures like Federer!)

Roger Federer's ability was put to the test in the first set against Gasquet, but came back in the second set to win the Rogers Cup Tournament at York University's Rexall Centre Sunday August 13.

Roger Federer came back from a first set loss to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 over Richard Gasquet. Gasquet played a tough game, and none the less admitted that he was happy just to play. "What can I say, he is the world number one player, I did my best!" Gasquet declares in the closing speeches. Federer has now reclaimed the cup which he originally won in Toronto two years ago.

Taste of the Danforth

I love all the summer festivals we have in Toronto that are entirely centerd around food, namely meat. Taste of Danforth was hard to shoot becuase it was difficult to stop eating for more than 5 minutes at a time, but I managed. What more could I ask for than an entire street festival of pork and chicken on a stick, and in a pita with tzatziki? I could ask for a few less people in my way for starters... A few of my favourites.

A whole whack load of people clogged Danforth Ave Friday night through Sunday evening to enjoy a taste of everything they had to offer.

My gorgeous meat-eating girlfriends Marissa, left and Tanya enjoy a little gyros at Logan and Danforth from the best stall there was, Mezzi.

Dancing in the street, the Greek-est Greek woman I could find.
